Coffee, Flowers and Book Chat

Hi Friends!

Let’s chat books over a coffee or bone broth (which is sometimes an option for me.)

I’ve been enjoying a series of books by Author David Baldacci. He has so many books that I think will last the entire season. He writes a lot of Thrillers, centered around government agencies, espionage, and crime mysteries. I’m not usually into such topics; but the librarian recommended his books and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’m still getting through a lot of Baldacci’s books and will update you when I get through the next series. In the meantime let’s talk about the Mercy Series. This was my introduction.

Let’s start with Book 1 of the Mercy series: Long Road to Mercy– Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Catch a tiger by its toe.

It’s seared into Atlee Pine’s memory: the kidnapper’s chilling rhyme as he chose between six-year-old Atlee and her twin sister, Mercy. Mercy was taken. Atlee was spared.

She never saw Mercy again….

Book 2 A minute to midnight – FBI Agent Atlee Pine’s life was never the same after her twin sister Mercy was kidnapped — and likely killed — thirty years ago. After a lifetime of torturous uncertainty, Atlee’s unresolved anger finally gets the better of her on the job, and she finds she has to deal with the demons of her past if she wants to remain with the FBI…

Book 3 Daylight-For many long years, Atlee Pine was tormented by uncertainty after her twin sister, Mercy, was abducted at the age of six and never seen again. Now, just as Atlee is pressured to end her investigation into Mercy’s disappearance, she finally gets her most promising breakthrough yet: the identity of her sister’s kidnapper, Ito Vincenzo…

Book 4 Mercy– For her entire life, FBI agent Atlee Pine has been searching for her twin sister, Mercy, who was abducted at the age of six and never seen again. Mercy’s disappearance left behind a damaged family that later shattered beyond repair when Atlee’s parents inexplicably abandoned her…

If you read or listen to these let me know how you like them. Until next time, see you soon!
