So last weekend I put a box for Charleston recommendations over on my Instagram stories and my messages were flooded with a lot of recommendation. I’ve never been to Charleston before and it has been on my “must visit” list for a while.
So I decided to share the responses here instead of sharing them in my stories because there’s so many.
I’ll separate them into categories so it’s more organized.
Places to eat
Peninsula Grill- I was told they have great coconut cake 🍰
NICO this place sounds delicious. Big seafood and oyster lover over here.
Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit– I’ve been here while in ATL and I loved it. I often have their biscuits in my house.
Carmella’s Cafe and Dessert Bar
Virginia on King – Breakfast
Food Touring to learn lots about the city through food culture- this is also up my alley since I’m a good food lover. And like to cook good food.
High Cotton- Looks delicious
Page’s Okra Grill in Mt. Pleasant
Poe’s for Burgers
Places to Stay
Places to See
Angel Oak Tree
Sullivan’s Island- Beach
Folly Beach to view the Lighthouse in the harbor. (i’m told this is more of an event beach.)
Isle Palms has a great beach access.
Magnolia Plantation – This looks amazing. Gardens and an Old house tour and lots of history.
I’ve received messages about just strolling and looking at the beautiful gardens, flowers, & courtyards in the Historic district. This is right up my alley since I live in a historic neighborhood and old home.
I was informed that their Farmer’s Market is amazing- Saturdays.
King Street for all of the shopping.
