Fall Reading Roundup

Hi Friends! I love book 📚 and recently bought a stack of books to read! I also downloaded a few new books on audible to listen to while I travel or blog.

I love a good book!

I wanted to share my recent favorites and rate them as well as give a summary.

The Match– was recommended and I’m glad that I downloaded it. I’d give it 4.5 stars. I really loved listening to it. It’s a unique take on your traditional Rom Com- especially with two of the characters having a disability. I also love that the woman respects herself and holds to her values. It’s a great book with some Southern charm.

The Match– the cutest Southern Rom-Com I’ve listened to thus far!

Below are other books from the same author that have that Southern Rom Com vibe.

The Cheat Sheet, The temporary Roomie, The off limits rule and The Enemy📚

Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe. I’d give it 3 stars. Very Southern and written during the early segregation period. The book took me a while to get into. A lot of funny moments and some very confusing and uncomfortable ones too. Probably my favorite part is when of the characters start facing menopause- I did get a laugh out of that. I’d say overall it was just *OK.

Lots of Southern lingo- 3⭐️⭐️⭐️

I just finished the Yellow Crocus and loved it! Definitely 5 stars. I love that the two main characters found their way full circle back to each other. Written during the Slavery Era, so there’s a lot of heart ache, suffering and injustice. But the bond between the two characters out shine the racial division during that time. Highly recommend this one.

I loved the Yellow Crocus– 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m currently listening to “Sister of Mine.” I’ll keep you posted when I’m done. It’s a long book so it’ll take me a while to get through. But a summary of the book is it’s also written during the slavery era and two young women discover that they are sisters…..

Currently listening to this one. Stay tuned for my final review.

I could keep going but I’ll do a follow up on the one Above as well as add to the list. What are you currently reading or listening to? I’d love to know.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to subscribe to my blog to never miss a post!

Hugs,

Ebonee 💜
